If you're up for a quick way to serve a fancy treat that makes it look like you spent all day in the kitchen, look no further!
Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Roll
Pistachio nuts
Dried, sweetened cranberries
Thaw cookie dough roll (if you've had it in the freezer) or set out the refrigerated roll and let it get just soft enough so you can work with it.
Carefully open the cookie dough. Gently pat the roll down so that it lays flat.
Sprinkle pistachio nuts and sweetened dried cranberries liberally onto dough's outside. Roll it up again and chill thoroughly.
When you're ready to bake, take out cookie roll and slice normally and place on cookie sheet. Follow Pillsbury's baking instructions for oven temperature and baking time.
Voilá! This is a "gourmet" cookie that takes no time at all!
Tasty variation: Use dried cherries and chopped walnuts in place of cranberries and pistachio nuts. Melt some white chocolate then spread a bit on top of each cookie for icing.
